NEW! 31 Jan 2012 COWG Cadet Summer Encampment for 2012 is scheduled at the United States Air Force Academy Prep School. Encampment for Basic Cadets (first time encampment attendees) begins on Saturday, 23 June with graduation scheduled for Saturday, 30 June. Encampment Staff arrival will be several days earlier and will be annnounced later.
Although Cadet Staff and Basic Cadet applications are being accepted, many encampment details are still being worked out. The cost for encampment and and additional application information will be provided as soon as it is available.
For Basic Cadets (first time encampment attendees), submit your application as soon as possible. This event is always full. The sooner you submit your application, the more likely you are to received a confirmed slot In addition, get started on your Curry Achievment if you have not completed it. Although you do not have to complete the Curry Achievement to apply, you must complete the Curry Achievemment to attend encampment! A deadline for Curry Achievement completion will be announced later. Don't delay - get started!
If you intend to apply to the Colorado Wing CAP Foundation for a scholarship to help with your encampment application expenses, contact your squadron commander for the necessary documents. Submit the scholarship application to the CAP Foundation as soon as possible.
If you have general questions about encampment, ask your squadron commander or deputy commander cadets. It they cannot answer your questions, you may email questions to the encampment email address and one of the encampment staff members will respond as soon as they can.
