This is YOUR place to hang out, get more information, talk about the last bivouac, or check out what other cadets are saying about the Civil Air Patrol cadet program.

Keep in mind that this is an official Civil Air Patrol webpage, which means that CAPR110-1 applies to communications in this area.  Specifically, subsection 2(d) requires that:

1) There shall be no use or distribution of any obscene, indecent, or offensive language or material that is defamatory, abusive, harassing, disrespectful or hateful. 2) There shall be no: a) use or distribution of junk mail, b) unauthorized advertising, c) communication that invades anyone's privacy, or encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense or gives rise to civil liability or that otherwise violates any local, state, national or international law or regulation d) communication that contains false statements about Civil Air Patrol or Civil Air Patrol employees or members., e) publication or distribution of any information that violates any copyright, trade name or trademark

Any member violating this regulation may be subject to discipline by the squadron commander or his designee, or any higher headquarters.

Any communication made on this webpage will identify the name of the person involved in the communication along with their Civil Air Patrol grade or position of employment, pursuant to CAPR110-1 (6).

 Cyberpatriot Competition Minimize

Cyberpatriot III is up and running, and we have until October 8 to sign up.  Any high school or high school aged student is eligible to participate, and we need at least three (up to five) team members.  Contact Cyberpatriot coordinator Flight Officer Cassia Brown for more details.

 Scholarships / Summer Programs Minimize
  • Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont, offers scholarships to Civil Air Patrol cadets who have held a position of leadership for one or more years.  The scholarship is worth $20,000 over four years.  You must submit a letter of recommendation from your squadron commander and the wing commander, along with an application for admission.  Visit www.norwich.edu for more information.
  • Norwich University is offering a Future Leader Camp at its campus in Vermont.  Applicants must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors during the 2011-2012 school year and possess at least a 2.5 GPA.  There are two sessions available - 26 JUN to 9 JUL 2011 and 17 JUL to 30 JUL.  Cost is $1725 which includes all room, board, uniforms, and activities.  See www.norwich.edu/admissions/summerprograms for more information.
  • The National Rifle Association Youth Education Summit is now accepting applications from current high school sophomores and juniors for its seven-day, expense-paid leadership and scholarship program in Washington, D.C. to be held 20 JUN to 26 JUN 2011.  The application deadline is 14 FEB.  Visit www.friendsofnra.org/YES for more information.
  • Apply for a grant from the Colorado Civil Air Patrol Foundation for your summer encampment or activities - click here for the application!
