The Civil Air Patrol "Read to Lead" program is for members who want to develop their skills in leadership and excellence, and to mentor others in these areas.  The program consists of several books which represent a variety of civilian and military leaders, from best-selling author Tom Clancy to former presidential candidate and mayor Rudolph Giuliani.  These books were selected to highlight Civil Air Patrol's enduring competencies in aerospace advocacy, character development, leadership, and citizenship.
