2010 Colorado Wing Encampment

Welcome to the home page of the Colorado Wing Encampment. Please check the Encampment Gallery for pictures of the 2008 & 2009 encampment. Attending encampment will be one of the most memorable experiences of your cadet career, so this page is here to help you stay informed with the latest news, application process, and to prepare you to come spend a week with us.
Dates are 12-19 June 2010 at US Air Force Academy Preparatory School.
PIPER, required staff training, is 8-11 June 2010.
More information is in the documents to your right.
All cadet and senior staff must report to the Prep School on Tuesday, 8 June 2010 between 1700-1900. If you cannot make that time please let Lt Col Ashby or Lt Col Mueller know ASAP.
Encampment Dates:
12 June 2010
0900-1100: In-processing, report in BDUs.
If you do not arrive by 1100 your slot will be given away.
19 June 2010
1000: Parent's presentation in the auditorium
1100: Pass-In Review Graduation Parade
~1230: Cadets will be released, dependent on how long it takes them to clean the barracks.
~1400: Cadet and Senior Staff are released.

Late arrivals and early departures will not be allowed due to nationally required completion requirements and a full activity. If this applies to you, e-mail the Encampment Commander or the Commandant of Cadets ASAP. Late arrivals or early departures will not be tolerated once the encampent has started.
If you will be arriving from out of state by commercial airplane:
1) We only pick up from the Colorado Springs Airport.
2) If you arrive at the Denver Airport there is a shuttle to the Colorado Springs Airport. Travel times vary from 1.5 hours to 3 hours. Please plan accordingly as you must arrive at the Colorado Springs airport no later than 1100.
3) Ensure that we have your flight information. If it changes you need to let us know ASAP.
The Colorado Wing Encampment is full and is not accepting any more applicants. Thank you for your interest. Please contact your squadron commander for other encampment opportunities.
